I am a journalist and artist who has built my dream career. My work includes writing about arts in the District and holding leadership roles in the arts associations Day Eight, Emerging Arts Leaders DC and The Sanctuaries.
ArtTable DC selected me as a 2019-2020 Faith Flanagan Fellow, a mentorship program for up-and-coming arts leaders. As part of the BEACON program for female entrepreneurs, I was featured in a Q&A about shaping a career that you love.
I earned scholarship money for a bachelor's in international studies from Washington University in St. Louis, including a semester writing program at the University of Oxford, and a master’s in writing from the University of Southern California, where I evaluated screenplays for Teddy Zee Productions and The Montecito Picture Company.
Though I happily call DC home, I am Midwestern at heart: I was born in Battle Creek, Michigan ("Cereal City") and raised in the Chicagoland area.
